The Delivery queue
What it's for
The Delivery queue is a live dispatch board for delivery orders. You move each order through its stages — pending, assigned, picked up, delivered — and note who's delivering it.
Delivery is an optional module. If you don't see it, it isn't enabled on your plan.
Where to find it
- Web
- iOS
- Android
Choose Delivery in the sidebar (route /delivery), or the
Delivery chip in the Orders board
view switcher — both open the Delivery Queue.

The board
The header shows two counts — active deliveries and delivered today. Below is a card per in-flight order, and a Delivered Today section at the bottom. The queue refreshes itself every 20 seconds, so it stays current on its own.
Delivery orders arrive from the POS and the online store — you don't create them here (the empty state confirms: "Delivery orders from the POS appear here").
Work a delivery
Click a card to expand it. You'll see the guest's phone and delivery address, the items, an aggregator badge (your own delivery, or Swiggy / Zomato and the like), and the order total.
Move it along its four stages — Pending → Assigned → Picked Up → Delivered — either by tapping the next step on the progress stepper or with the → Mark as … button (e.g. → Mark as Picked Up). Stages only move forward.
When you mark an order Delivered, it's completed automatically and drops into Delivered Today.
Record the rider
On a card, type the rider's name in Assign rider name (optional) and choose Save. The name travels with the order as you advance it.
This is a simple name field — there's no rider directory or live GPS tracking. Payment isn't handled here either; a delivery is billed through the normal Orders and settlement flow.
Worked example
Send an order out. A new delivery lands as Pending. When your rider takes it, type their name, choose Save (it becomes Assigned), then → Mark as Picked Up as they leave. When they confirm the drop, choose → Mark as Delivered — the order completes and moves to Delivered Today.
Tips & things to watch
- ✅ Assign the rider name so you always know who has which order.
- ✅ It auto-refreshes — leave it open on a screen during a busy delivery service.
- ⚠️ Stages go forward only — there's no undo on the stepper, so advance when it's really true.
- ⚠️ Settle in the normal flow — the queue tracks delivery status, not payment.
